Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.
At our first session I will ask questions about you and your presenting problem as well as your family, medical, and social history to better understand why you're coming to therapy. We will also discuss any current or recent symptoms. The goal of the first few sessions is to learn as much about you as possible and identify what you're hoping to get out of coming to therapy as well as building the therapeutic relationship. After gathering information and completing your initial assessment, I will provide feedback on what I think will be the most effective treatment for you, including therapy strategies and frequency of treatment.
Each session will last 45 minutes. After we have decided on a time to meet I will be sending you a new client information email with everything you need to know about coming to your first session, including directions, how to get into my office building, and what to bring with you.
